Decadent Chocolate Power Balls by Barbara Ann Grova

Ingredients:

  • Cacao nibs or powder
  • Almond butter or Peanut butter
  • Raw Honey or Mashed Dates
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Unsweetened coconut, or coconut flakes, or any crushed nuts
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips, cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Using a coffee grinder, grind the cacao nibs to almost a powder consistency.
  2. Add almond butter until consistency is like a thick brownie batter. Keep in mind that
adding honey will soften the mixture and that it needs to be able to roll into quarter
    size balls.
  3. Add honey to taste.
  4. Roll into quarter sized balls by hand. Roll each ball in the unsweetened coconut,
coconut flakes, coconut sugar or crushed nuts. (Or try a couple of each!)
  5. Refrigerate or freeze for ½ hour until hard. Great for parties!!

happiness.
Iron: Cacao contains 314% of the U.S. RDA of iron per 1 ounce (28 gram) serving.

exercise. Anandamide has only been found in one plant — Cacao. Anandamide is known as “The Bliss
Chemical” because it is released while we are feeling great.
